station located at altitude of 6075 Ft ( 1890 Mtrs) above sea
level, Kausani is a small hill staion and spread in 5 sq kms

Tourists visiting Kausani can have awesome view of snow caped

visible from Kausani, Kausani is also famous for its tea gardens
and tea brand : Giria".
Kausani was birth place of famous poet Sumitra Nandan Pant and
father of nation Mahatma Gandhi stayed here for 14 days at
Anasakti Ashram in year 1929 and called Kausani as Switzerland
of India.
Kausani is located in Kumaun region of Uttarakhand state of

estate , Gandhi ji stayed in this place for 14 days and explored

for tourists and attending morning / evening prayers is
compulsory for guests staying at Anasakti Ashram Kausani. A
Himalaya Darshan Sopan is made in campus of Anasakti Ashram for
tourists where guide map is given to view snow capped mountain
swith their names & heights.

small market with few shops is available for tourists
