Naina Devi Temple Nainital: Nainital name has been originated from Naina Devi and Naina Devi temple is situated right on Naini Lake near flats, It is said that eye of Deity Sati fell here at Nainital ( Naini Lake) and Temple of Naina Devi was built near Lake, Tibbetan Shopping market is situated besides Naina Devi Temple.

Astronomical Observatory Nainital : Astronomical Observatory is 9 Kms away from Nainital and situated at Manora peak, Views from Manora peaks are are awesome of Nainital hills & valley, Tourists can go on foot to Manora hills too ( 1 kms), Observatory was established in year 1955 to perform research in astrophysics etc., One has to take permission in advance to visit telescope to view celestial objects.
